Why do we keep doing what we’re doing?

Why do we keep insisting on developing the same boring ads and expecting new or improved results?

Why are we defining the medium we choose simply by the allocated budget?

Is it really all about clicks or impressions?  Or is it about spreading a killer message that leads to consistent and recurring action?

Why aren’t we telling people a compelling & TRUE story instead of slapping the emotional equivalent of a nutritional label on our advertising?

I asked myself that question this past mid-December (thought it’s been nagging at me much longer) and finally decided to rebrand my own company (which had regretfully bec0me a provider of tasks & services).

It was time to step up. afl Marketing is now surface\cle.

I did it because I got tired.  I got so tied up in the minutia of design and  medium that I was even starting to get a little glassy eyed at the message.

What surface\cle delivers is effective story telling – isn’t that what it’s always been about???

Capturing and communicating the essence of a service, product or candidate is what I’ve always done best…and their success is what I take the most pride in.

I’ll continue to use all of the tools…I’m just not going to put the medium before the message anymore.
